Glossary of Sic Bo Terms.
Any Double – It's a bet that two of the dices will show the number that you have stipulated. It is also called Any Pair. The chances are 8-1
Any Triple – This is a bet that all three dice faces will show the number that you have bet. Here the chances are 24-1
Betting Limit – A term commonly used in table game, it indicates the minimum and the maximum amounts of money that can be wagered on a single game. You cannot wager less than the minimum or more than the maximum amount posted.
Birdcage – This is An American variant of Sic Bo Break-even point: If you played forever, it is that point at which the bets you made would approximately be equal to the payoffs you'd receive.
Cage – Before being rolled, the dice is tumbled in a device that resembles a bird cage.
Combination bet – A wager that two dice will show the numbers which the player specifies.
Chuck-a-Luck – This is an American variant of Sic Bo
Double – This bet that a number will show on two of the dice. The chances here are 5-1.
Even Bet – This is a bet that the dice totals would add up to an even number.
Grand Hazard – This is a variant of Sic Bo
Hi Lo – In Philippines Sic Bo is known as Hi Lo
House Advantage – The edge that the casino has over the players, expressed as a percentage.
Except for Blackjack and Video Poker, every Casino game has a built in profit on every bet. This is also known as the House Edge or Casino Advantage.
Layout – Display on the table of the bets and the payouts.
Lose On Any Triple – if three dices when rolled come up with the same number, then you lose on all small and big bets.
Lucky Dice – a common slang name for sic bo.
Odd bet – This is a bet that the dice totals would add up to an odd number.
Re-Bet – Repeat the same bets as you did for the previous Spin.
Sic Bo – A Chinese dice game. Unlike other dice games here you use three dice. It is also known as Dai Siu and Tai Sai.
Small Bet – A prediction that that the dice totals will be between 4 and 10.
Spin – The process of setting the cage in motion so that the dice can be rolled.
Three Single Number Combination – a three number combination is stated and if the dice after being rolled displays exactly the same, then the player wins.
Triple – In this case all dice faces should display the named number. The payout is 150-1 Two Faces -a combination bet that requires the player to predict two of the numbers that will come up after the dice is rolled. Payout usually ranges from 6-1 to 60-1.
